Over 20 programs are planned!

Rediscover the history, significance, and joy of voting in our country through our Democracy Series. Learn how democracy fosters peace, prosperity, progress, and development for all citizens. From interactive storytimes to insightful workshops, these engaging programs will strengthen community connections as we navigate this election year together.
To kick off Boulder Public Library’s Democracy Series, we’ll screen the documentary “Join or Die,” featuring special guest Evan Weissman from Warm Cookies of the Revolution. The event will begin with the Community Connections Fair from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the Canyon Gallery, with free food, including hotdogs from Mustard’s Last Stand (with GF and vegetarian options) followed by the film screening from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. in the Canyon Theater on Thursday, September 5.

Other programming highlights include a panel discussion on fighting disinformation, a documentary screening of “Slay the Dragon” with a chance to send video messages to city council and hands-on workshops for stress relief and teen zine making. Learn more about the Democracy event series.
