NoBo Corner Library Officially Closes Its Doors Ahead of Relocation

As Boulder Public Library approaches the opening of its new north Boulder location, the NoBo Corner Library, located at 4600 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80304, will officially close its doors to the public on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, in preparation for its relocation.

Boulder Public Library recognizes how impactful the NoBo Corner Library has been for the entire community over the last ten years. We greatly appreciate all patrons and staff members who have supported this unique location for the last decade and invite everyone to share in this bittersweet farewell.

On the evening of May 22, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., we will gather for a special event at the NoBo Corner Library. This event is a farewell and a celebration of the memories and experiences we’ve shared within these walls. We look forward to seeing you there.

Temporary Service Changes

As of May 10, 2024, NoBo Corner Library will no longer be a pick-up or reservation location for patron materials. Until the new location opens, patrons must pick up and reserve their materials from another Boulder Public Library. Find additional library locations and hours.

All materials currently checked out of NoBo Corner Library will receive an extended due date of June 30, 2024, in the system. This extension will allow patrons to retain their materials until the new location opens.

Grand Opening Celebration

Many community members have been monitoring the location’s progress, and we encourage others to drive by and marvel at the incredible architecture of their newest public library.

To celebrate the completion of the new NoBo Library, join us on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for our Grand Opening Celebration.

Located at 4500 13th St., Boulder, CO 80304, the Grand Opening will feature commemorative speeches, food trucks, a special storytime, bilingual (English and Spanish) entertainment, and crafts. 

Patrons will also experience all the amenities the new NoBo Library offers, such as an expanded catalog of materials, meeting and study rooms, an indoor/outdoor makerspace, BoulderReads literacy programs, classrooms, and more. 

When the new NoBo Library opens, it will have more convenient hours for its patrons: Monday through Thursday (9 a.m. – 7 p.m.), Friday and Saturday (10 a.m. – 5 p.m.), and Sunday (12 – 5 p.m.).

Boulder Public Library will announce the official opening of the new NoBo Library to the public will be made shortly through a multi-pronged marketing campaign. Stay tuned!
